Loch of Stenness

Volunteering with the RSPB at the Brodgar reserve, near the stone circle. We were planting nettle rhizomes and gathering and spreading seaweed for fertiliser.

The hope is that nettle beds grow and provide cover for the early-returning corncrakes.

We were lucky with the weather, it was sunny and mild and the work was warm.
