Fred, Leo and Ned 1943

The man in the middle of this photograph from 1943, Leo, was a great friend. He died recently aged 101 after a full and very interesting life. He was a real character and this reminds us of him.

Just in case you are interested the fish weighed 10 lbs, 10 and a half pounds and 12 and a half pounds. They are Lough Neagh Brown Trout, known locally as "dollaghan" and were caught on the Lower Ballinderry River, Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
