Thank goodness for two year olds

What a day yesterday...

Heart wrenching to hear my dad choke back tears on the phone.
News we didn't want to hear.
Feelings we didn't want to feel.

Yet with each moment it became a little easier to focus on the good.

After leaving the hospital I went to pick up my little Erik. Two and a half filled with life and joy and wonder!
As we walked to the car, enroute to see my dad Erik stopped in a puddle and began to jump and laugh. His reality my grace.

Thank goodness for two year olds!
