Chinese lanterns

We had to launch these tonight as the weather was too wet and windy at the end of our Chinese New Year kids club last week. The children loved counting down as they drifted up into the sky. My first experience too and most enjoyable.

I was assured that these were environmentally friendly lanterns, as I'd raised concern having seen and heard of complaints from farmers etc about damage caused by them.
