The Light
After all the 'physiograms' I'd seen on t'internet recently I thought maybe I would have a go at this variant of light painting which looks capable of producing pictures as good as the 'camera toss' pictures I saw a few years ago but without the inherent risk of damage to your camera. Unfortunately the cat had different ideas about what the torch suspended by string hanging from the ceiling was for and in the end I gave up after having worked out where a good spot on the ceiling would be and getting the focus right.
Traded the old Xbox for £59 at Gamestation at lunchtime and came away with Rock Bad 3, which whilst being great fun, the experience was somewhat dampened by being alone.
I had been advised that some beef flank steak had been defrosted by accident in Jen's quest for an Indian take on Venison Carpaccio for last night's starter but after getting all the base ingredients for a Beef, Spinach and Potato Balti simmering in the pan I discovered that in fact said Beef Flank Steak was in fact a great big chunk of Venison Fillet. After defrosting yet still more meat (Lamb mince) to make a curry I then found myself having to find something to do with the Venison, so I made some Dauphinoise potatoes with a bit of left over cream. I fully expect to be several pounds heavier tomorrow...
