Pohutukawa Hive

...Last full day on the magical Ponui Island today, gum digging in the Kauri paddock, Crystal hunting on the beach, hundreds more photos...
I thought i'd go for the shot with a bee hive in a Pohutukawa tree, there were a few entrances to the nest but this one had a nice bit of new growth in the background, I also brought a jar of 'Man o' War' Ponui Island Pohutukawa honey the other day, so its quite fitting... Yum!!
