Faith
When I was growing up, I was told (I can't remember who by, but I am guessing someone at the Catholic school I went to) that the half moon shapes under your nails show your faith in God to the rest of the world and that if this disappears, God knows that you have stopped believing.
I do not believe. I stopped believing when a vicar told me that my brother (who was born with hydrocephaulis and spinabifida and died as a baby in the late 1970s) was a punishment from God on my parents for being sinners.
But, if God does exist, He has obviously not realised I feel this way, my half moons are on every digit of both hands.
This started out as another Blipfoto 2011 challenge entry but now I am not sure...
