Pickled Boy Segment

This is a genuine segment of boy head, prepared by John Hunter to reveal a tumour in the nasal passage. Normally these morbid specimens are colourless but he injected a dye into this guy. It had the unintended effect of restoring colour to his complexion. From today's fun day out at the Hunterian Museum.
