The N8

It was another snow day for me as I worked from home. The rest of the world was filled with all kinds of news though. Egypt's PM finally stepped down after a long, semi peaceful gathering in the streets. I'm hopeful for a peaceful transition of power to the people.

In other news, Nokia made the decision to drop Symbian as it's smart phone operating system and use Microsoft Windows Phone 7 as it's new platform. I've been a developer and fan of Symbian for years. I'm sad to see it go but hopeful for Espoo's future with Microsoft.

Let's face it, I was one of the only Symbian fans in the US. Without a major change the company faces a losing race.

The picture is of my favorite Symbian device to date: the Nokia N8. Pluffy was jealous of me snapping pics without her in them and invaded my photo shoot.
