Great day had by all
Started with some hard work in the garden by me - digging a flax bush out - and with Dave washing all the windows.
It was my god-parent's 50th wedding anniversary so headed over to Redcliffs to their lunch party - glorious day, great food and wonderful to catch up with people I have not seen for years.
The photo is of their cake - a profiterole tower. The profiteroles were filled with custard and doused with kirsch and toffee. It was pretty delicious!
Late in the afternoon the Red Checkers flew over and did a marvellous acrobatic aerial display - not just for our benefit but it felt like it. My photos of them are dreadful though. I should have left the camera on auto and let it work it all out (note to self: sometimes the camera knows better).
I got some great photos of their wee terrier Billy though. I was tempted to post those but in the end decided to go for the envy factor!
On the way home I called into a nursery still on a hunt for two hard to get camellias for the new garden as of course I left them behind when we shifted. They are Baby Bear and Sweet Emily Kate - and they had them both! I will plant them tomorrow.
