All in an afternoon

A soft rainy afternoon in Vancouver. A number of evocative images of these leaves and rain drops. Some more mystical and mysterious than others. Chose this one in the end as I was drawn to the strong centred vertical. I reminds me of the pole holding the ponies on a carousel. Not sure why but I think I like the odd balance. It is unexpected and a little jarring. And at the same time the image tugs at me and draws me in.

A sense of leaves going round and round the pole. Or a ballerina on pointe twirling around and around and around. Might be because I saw the Black Swan last night. Very powerful drama and the dance motion has stuck with me.
