Liver Bird

Took my daughter and husband to Manchester airport very early this morning for their Honeymoon.Four days with friends in Singapore and then off to New Zealand where Sam was born staying there for a month.
So it was such a lovely morning with a clear sky and clear road to stand in the middle of to take the Liver bird shot....so thought I would pop down to the Pier head in Liverpool and take the picture.
Only just a wee bit of symbolism here .....flying away.....being free..... except the poor Liver bird is firmly tethered. Sometimes we are tethered by restraints which keep us bound to sometimes unpleasant situations but stay for fear of being flightless like the grounded Liver bird.
