The Big One
Just to prove that The Irish Sea, which separates Ireland from the UK, isn't quite the placid pond which lots of people imagine it to be, I offer you as evidence, this shot taken in Arklow this morning. I might add that there was hardly a puff of wind blowing at the time but I did notice that there was a huge swell moving in through the harbour mouth and waves crashing right over the wall. Not wishing for a drenching I went around the corner and onto the beach. A few days ago I posted a shot of a photographer standing not too far from where I shot. This is the scene he was looking at.
