Slow Blossom

I love this tree that lives outside our house. I think it's an ornamental Cherry, but I'm not sure. In past years we have known it to be bursting with white flowers on C's birthday on 10th Feb, but not this year that's for sure. At least this picture shows that spring is coming at last and the wonderful blossom is slowly, but surely preparing to do its thing.
