Mar's Wark
This is Mar's Wark in Stirling. It is the ruin of a town house built around 1569 by the Earl of Mar, Keeper of Stirling Castle.
If you look closely through the gate you can see the Old Town Cemetery which lies in the valley between Stirling Castle and the Church of the Holy Rude.
William Wordsworth wrote 'We know of no sweeter cemetery in all our wanderings than that of Stirling'.
It was a nice way to pass some time waiting for my daughter and the sun was shining. Bonus.
