The path home - walk 6
This is our 6th walk from our little 'Local Walks' booklet, and today was perfect for the wonderful views if rather boggy and unpleasant underfoot!
The walk is around the lower half of our neighbouring village Wilsden. The view here is of the path returning to my village of Harden which nestles in the valley in the far distance. You can make out the path crossing the fields to the converted farm and then down to Goit Stock woods before returning to the village.
On the hillside above the village are the woods of St Ives estate where many of our walks have been based. The white building in the middle of the woods ( in the direction the footpath sign is pointing) is St Ives Mansion which now houses a young disabled adults unit.
The houses to the front on the right are where Wilsden ends.
Back home in time for the 6 Nations Rugby - a fine day!
