Microlight flight over the Tyne

What a day - 2 hours at 3 'C, going at 85mph, some 3500ft up, flying over the East of Scotland coastline over East Lothian - only one word.....freezing!

Electric socks are a God send - warm feet = warm body. So for 2 hours we flew down from East Fortune over the Borders past Wooler, Duns to Morpeth in England and back up over the coast line. Couldn't go over the water as we weren't wearing life jackets - understandable - I think!

The views were fabulous as it was a really frosty and misty day so everything looked like a scene set from Tolkein.

Nearing the end of the trip we went over the mouth of the River Tyne - I thought it looked like something from Google Earth.

Great day - well recommended - but wear loads of layers - I wore 5 and couldn't bend my limbs but when you are attached with a lapbelt in a motorbike with wings - (only kidding) - the adrenalin keeps you warm.
