A leisurely, but early start to the day. Katie was washed, changed and dressed by 6. However, Mummy wasn't until gone 10. We pottered round, playing, doing a few jobs. I then realised I had no cards for the joint birthday party we were going to in the afternoon. So we wandered out and caught the post office before it closed, in the hope we'd manage to get different cards to the choice of three that Tesco has!

I made Katie's lunch but by that point she was too tired, so ate a few peas and wouldnt entertain anything else. She slept for nearly two hours. By the time she got up it was almost time to get ready for the party.

It was a joint party for Tatiana and Maisie, who are both turning 1 next week. It was at the other play cafe in town. I have to admit, it was rather hell-ish. There were too many children for the space, and too many big ones. The 1year olds kept getting battered by rampaging bigger kids. But Katie went round and round the 'circuit' several times, she was loving the really rather steep slide, and had such a grin on her face. At teatime there were not enough highchairs to go round, so several of the babies, Katie included ended up in tub chairs, which was ok apart from they were insistent on climbing them, not eating. I dont ever expect her to eat at these things, so had taken a banana and a porridge pouch for afterwards, which she troughed.
