Water overflow at the Benmore Dam

On our way to Wanaka we had to go via Seven Mile road and come up the otherside of the Waitaki River as it was so full the current has damaged the old bridge up at Kurow.

Couldn't get near the the bridge to photograph so went up to see what the Benmore Dam was like, there was an amazing amount of water coming down the spill shoots.Here are some more images of the Waitaki River & DamWaitaki River
