Little Picasso

It's Friday, and this week it's Bookbug at the library (it's on ever second Friday). H sat still enough for most of it and paid attention, until it got to the story reading part, and she was off - climbing over beanbags and other mummies. She is having great fun climbing at the moment!
She also learned a new word today - "joosh" which obviously means juice! She has only ever had water or milk, except for the odd little sip, and I had decided that once she is old enough to ask for juice, then she can have it a bit more regularly. So as a reward for her new word, she had some diluting apple and blackcurrant! I think Kerr must have taught her that word yesterday when she was jealously eyeing up his apple juice ;-)

In the afternoon, I thought we should try something different, so got out some paints and some paper. I sellotaped the paper to the kitchen floor, dressed her in old clothing and an old bib, and let her loose. Her creative streak soon came out as she not only held the paint dispensers, but also walked through the painting and painted her mouth and in her hair. Thank goodness they are washable and it all came out! Her paintings have pride of place on my kitchen wall.

In other slightly less fun (but amusing) news, only 5 days after she peed in my handbag, she peed in my favourite trainers. There was an actual puddle in one of them. Ah well, at least they are washable! Going to have to supervise nappy free time a bit better I think.
