Difficult choice

The boys were up at 5:30 a.m. this morning. Since my oldest was sick and waking the house with his coughing, they both seem to be on a very early alarm right now. So no sleeping in on Saturday at this house....well unless you are my husband. *makes raspberry sounds with her tongue*

My oldest has a class project due next Tuesday. It will be the 100th day of kindergarten. So he has to create a hat that has 100 items on it. That is quite a task for a 5 year old let me tell you. The boys and I decided to take a walk on the beach across from our house to find some things for the hat. The wind was incredibly swift making my 3 year old grumpy and just plain scared at times. So we headed around the rocks and tried a new path. A path we shall never travel EVER again.

Upon reaching home, they had stinky mud up to their belly buttons, chunks of skin missing due to falling on barnacle-covered rocks, and slivers from blackberry bushes up their shins. It was a dramatic adventure for sure.

When we got back to the house, we blew some bubbles. All smiles again.

The other project for the weekend is creating 20 valentines for my son's classmates. He's been hard at work for over an hour, and he's got just eight of them finished. He really is an amazing little person. Telling me stories about each card and how the person will love it. He's so aware of his world. It amazes me.

So they are off to a nap, and I'm off to do some cleaning.

Here are some of the other shots from today's adventures.

Be sure to view in large to see the reflection of our house in the bubbles. Pretty cool actually.
