Look out Jamie
Tonight, it was your's truly turn to put on the bib, chef's hat and rustle up some dinner.
A wee smoked salmon started, then rack of lamb, and as you can see, a cheeky wee red from the Loire valley.
For those who haven't been, Chinon is a very old town in the Loire Valley in France, with a chateau overlooking the town and the river Vienne, just before it joins the Loire itself. Well worth taking this town in as part of a tour of the region....highly recommended.
The wine is a nice bonus. Loire reds are very drinkable. mostly light and fruity, and should be drunk very slightly chilled. Nice little fact for the Trivial pursuit!
