Choucroute de Dimanche

"Sauerkraut on Sunday"--from the heights of Paris to food in Paris (I blipped the Eiffel Tower yesterday).

We were at the August Blanqui open-air market preparing for a dinner guest tonight. Any kind of general view is difficult (and it was a grey day anyway), since the market stretches along a broad sidewalk for nearly a kilometer (starting at Place d'Italie, 3 times a week). Everything imaginable is on offer.

The sauerkraut was steaming, but I don't think that comes across in the blip.

Edit: We're NOT having sauerkraut for dinner, but rather a lovely whole striped bass--I just put it on my blipfolio.

Edit 2: The year-ago blip showed France beating Ireland in the 6 Nations Rugby tournament. Today they did it again! (though it was much closer).
