Sunday roast

Seems I have cremated the joint somewhat.
We have a lovely new (1970s beige secondhand) cooker. I am discovering it's a lot hotter than my previous one.
I don't think this is exactly what nigella had in mind.
The outside is a bit like pork scratchings (that hard!) but there is some soft meat in the middle somewhere. Sure some roast potatoes and gravy will help.
Today is a "wearing jarmies and watching rubbish on TV" day with the burnt roast a bit later...
