Making a Mealy of It #wildlove

We were just about to go to the Market when Alan DM'd me. He had seen a very pale Redpoll in his garden with the flock of Lessers that we have wintering with us and was hoping that it was a Mealy or even an Arctic.

He regularly updated me on Twitter whilst we were out. I couldn't wait to get home. When we did get home, camera at the ready, I kept watch most of the afternoon. No show.

Anyway..... half the fun of birding is the anticipation. I enjoyed the excitement and managed to get this shot of a Lesser Redpoll, to add to my album.
