Lakeside Tree, Haddo

We decided to take some outdoor exercise today despite the wind and the rain, and had a very enjoyable walk up the hill and around the lake at Haddo - our first visit since the last time I posted a Haddo photo here on 14th November, almost exactly three months ago.

This tree leans out over the water at the far end of the lake, just above the weir where a stream - a tributary of the River Ythan - flows out. How many generations have ventured out over the water along this tempting tree trunk, I wonder...
