Strictly Tour hits Glasgow
Well -
Da da da da da da da, da da da da da - Ho
Anyone who is a Strctly fan will recognise the intro, yeah, one of the two programmes in the UK that dominate Saturday nights in the run up to Christmas, I think October they start. The other one being the X Factor. Our Amercian friends will know it as Dancing with the Stars, but the UK one is better (I think). (Well we do have Brucie!!!)
I bought a ticket for my mum's Christmas way back in September for the matinee show today at the SECC in Glasgow. She really loves it, I do to. It's so cheesy, lots of inuendos by Craig, Len & Bruno (the judges), but it's great fun.
Here we have Matt and Aliona celebrating winning the glitterball trophy. He told the audience if he won (we had to vote by text) he would do a series of tumbles and somersaults, and would wear a kilt the traditional Scottish way (without underwear for those who don't know) which sent the crazy Matt fans behind me into a frenzy of screaming and shouting. My mum thought her eardrum would burst. Actually, he was one of the best (there were 8 couples in all). It was down to Pamela Stephenson and him as the final two. He did his somersaults but wore boxers with the Saltire on them (they still screamed). One of the surreal moments came when Anne Widdecome did a dance with Craig Revel-Horwood, him throwing her around the floor. How odd an ex MP getting dragged along a dance floor . . . . .. . . . .
A good day.
