Tokyo / Narita Airport

Neither Barking nor I looked very closely at our itinerary at any point, it met the main criteria of being the cheapest by about $500 NZD. Anyway it wasn't until we were in the air that we checked to see how long we would be in Tokyo - 10 hours. After the flight to the UK we had taken a week to get over the 60 hour nightmare trip. So we decided that 10 hours was too long to mooch around the airport and that we would be better to get some sleep.

We looked into a day room at the Airport hotel, it was great value within our budget. We booked a room and caught the courtesy bus over. I don't usually get to sleep very well when I know I have to get up in a few hours but reasoned that the opportunity to get a shower and stretch out made it worthwhile. After a shower we decided to try to kip, 8 hours later the alarm clock woke me up - this just never happens.

Actually felt quite refreshed.
