"Let's see what this baby can do!"
A few days ago I blipped a picture of my temporary car key, however for now I shall put extra emphasis on the temporary part. Little Fiestie has been returned to his rightful owners for the next week, and so for now I will be learning to drive in this deceptively road-worthy porsche fridge.
I kid, in case nobody realised (it is quite late after all!) Anyway, so I don't have the Fiestie at this moment in time, which is fine really... Seeing as only last night I decided that it might be best to not drive different cars with only a week left before my test! The reason for this being that if I braked in my instructors car the way I have to in little Fiestie, we would both be splattered messes on the windscreen. Pleasant imagery to send you all to sleep with, and not something I want to risk when it isn't the ever-patient instructor sat next to me on test day. Not that I'd want anyone squished... especially not the instructor.... seeing as I know him a lot better than the examiner. Sorry, rambling a little.
So ANYWAY! I went to a showjumping competition today with my mum's friend (coincidentally the owner of the Fiestie) to watch her young horse compete. I took plenty of pictures, lots and lots and lots in fact, however I haven't worked out how to adjust the shutter speed on my camera (if that is even possible - it's just a little digital thing), and so every single picture came out as a beautifully focussed jump with a black/ grey/ bay/ skewbald/ you-name-it-coloured blur flying over the top of it. I was downheartened already, the reason for which being that I would much rather have been on one of the horses than standing, shivering and watching them fly past from a distance.... so the blurring didn't do much to raise my spirits. Think I'll go buy a lotto ticket tomorrow, a few extra pennies would solve all of the above-mentioned issues quite nicely I think.
Sorry about the ranty, complainy blip tonight... Will do my best to make next week a bit cheerier
