St George's Church
I didn't get far this lunchtime - *somebody* left their Valentine's purchases right until the last minute - and so I only got to check out St George's Churchyard. Despite being quite a busy location (it's now used as a lecture theatre), it's always worth a look. Sometimes in winter you can find Redwings here, and it was used as a meeting place for Waxwings late last year. Even if there's nothing too exciting, there's usually a few Goldfinches and Blue Tits flitting around, along with the obligatory Carrion Crows, Magpies, Starlings and, of course, Feral Pigeons.
The Church's stars are undoubtedly the Peregrines, which can be seen most days on its tower. Today they weren't playing out - a photo to save for another day.
