Pair of Geese

Canada Geese are the largest of our local reservoir birds. They're not with us all year round - this is my first sighting of 2011, so perhaps they've returned after overwintering elsewhere. Or this may just be a pair flying through.

I caught these two early this morning, which shows that it is getting light well before eight now. Not the best of pictures, through a window and on maximum zoom with my compact, but it's caught the rich brown of the bracken on the moor well, and the blue sky that started the day.
