Valentines Day

The best thing about Valentines day is when the little ones bring their cards home from school. Rory made this one - his first. What mother wouldn't be won over by it?

Be as cynical as you like about it, but I like Valentines day. There's always a lot of love in this house, but it doesn't do anyone any harm to make a little more effort to show it. No wild gestures are made, just a few tokens and a meal for two once the kids are in bed. I don't buy into all the commercial rubbish, but like I say, any chance to spoil and be spoilt is always welcome here!

Callum brough his first annoymous Valentine home today too! I remember those days well....
