A Vision of the Future

I was out at work in Kielder, Northumberland today. Not a great day for photos - everything was grey, overcast and drizzly. But I had my lunch at the viewpoint where I saw this sign, and wondered for how much longer the Forestry Commission will be looking after the woods for us.

In the distance you can just about see the south end of the dam, and the wierd control tower thing in the centre of the water (what IS that?).

Kielder is a great place for recreation, especially mountain biking and water sports, plus is one of the best places to see the stars clearly at night.
