There was a sharp shower as I was about to leave work today, so I waited. And this is how it turned out.

The lights are the barracks and you can make out the communication tower. One thing that annoys me about the MoD are the signs saying 'Private Property'. That is precisely what it is not: it is public property, owned by all of us. Of course, that does not mean we should have unrestricted access, but if we let our government and its instruments forget that we own their assets and give them their powers, we will find ourselves having to behave like the protesters in Azadi Square today and Tahrir Square last week.

I have some friends who will have been out protesting today - they have been beaten before and I hope they are OK tonight. I also hope I would be as brave as that.
