Breakfast!

Really - breakfast! I kid you not! But not for Valentines Day...

I got a fright when I woke up this morning and it was daylight.... And hubby was still sound asleep in bed next to me. I checked the time - 8am - and gave him a shake - "it's 8 o'clock! Are you not going to work?" expecting the response to be "oh sh*t!"...

But no - he had decided to sneakily take the day off too to spoil me on my birthday. What a star. He made me pancakes for breakfast, accompanied by a bottle of pink Cava. Who says romance is dead?!!

And my birthday present? A Kindle reader - how fantastic - to encourage me to read more wherever I am - maybe now I'll get The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo finished... ;-)
