Hillend

The trip to Hillend is beginning to become a weekly feature. Unfortunately we'll miss it next weekend as Roz and I are off to London for the weekend. Still the weekend after that the plan is to go up to Glenshee with some friends who ski. Assuming there is still some snow it should be good as Maddy has only ever ski'd on artificial surfaces up until now. Roz and I are even considering lessons so we can ski with her in the near future.

Today we headed along in the early afternoon. Chloe stayed at ours last night so she wanted to come and watch Maddy. After a while she was getting board so I took her for a trip up the hill on the chair lifts. We just went up and straight back down as it was windy and cold near the top. When we got back down Maddy decided she wanted to go up as well as she'd finished skiing, so back up I went. I think Chloe was a bit miffed that there was only room for two as she fancied heading back up again.

There is a fantastic view out over Edinburgh as you head back down. That said this was the best shot I got. It's of some random punters heading up on the chairlift as we were heading back down. Of course unlike us they looked to be skiing back down.
