Day Off

The weather has finally changed and today brought clouds and moisture to the air. There were a few flakes in the town but hopefully higher up there will be enough snow for powder turns tomorrow.

As it was so overcast I took the day off from skiing, and after yesterday's exertions my legs were grateful for the rest. I walked up to and around the Fornet, the hamlet which is the last habitat on the road towards the Col de l'Iseran. It's a lovely old and not so old higgledy collection of chalets. The bridge across the Isere to the Fornet is surprisingly high and set off my acrophobia so I didn't spent too long on that!

This fence in the hamlet is a lovely historical shrine to skinny skis.
