The Longest Day

It's 3:30pm and we still aren't done with Home School. Usually we are done by 1pm, unfortunately Bela decided to throw some long fits about writing. She has a book review of Anne of Green Gables in which she has to write a summary. There are specific things she is asked to write about, not her favorite thing.

As a 3rd grader she did well in comprehension as the book is quite hard to understand for a young reader. Her main issue seems to be having to write complete sentences and actual paragraphs. She turned in 1 sentence answers and I had to send her back to the drawing board. Let's just say she's not happy with me right now. Nonetheless, she has state testing next week for reading and this will be part of her required testing.

Had a plan to go see the big Growing Dome today but our plans have been changed. Hopefully tomorrow I can go. As for today, it's been a day to grow on!
