Unfortunate Return

A few weeks ago I ordered this High Definition 500mm F/8 Super Telephoto Lens. Thought it would be awesome for long distance shots with some the upcoming sporting event coming up, baseball to be more specific.

Unfortunately I didn't do my research on the lens and let the words "High Definition" and "Super Telephoto Lens" sweep me off my feet.

When actually this lens as wonderful as it looks and sounds is really best used for very slow moving far away objects. It's super, super, sensitive, so if anything moves it's going to blur.

Needless to say, I am returning it and will stick with what I know for the meantime. But if anyone can give any advice on the best type of lens to use at sporting events, please let me know.
