Single Red Rose

There is something very special about a single red rose.

Sweet. Powerful. Emotional.



My husband's Valentine's Day card that he gave to me symbolized all three.

The front of it read:

With you,
being real is easy.

You just get me,
and that

means more
than you'll
ever know.



And on the inside. Well his words on the inside are just for me. But last night as I read each sentence my eyes went from dry to glossy to teary to......almost crying. He wrote a letter to each of us. He read our son's letter aloud to him and our daughter's letter aloud to her. I will keep this card for the rest of my life. His words will forever have a spot in my heart and in my soul.
