Canal du Midi

Today we went to Toulouse for a japanese restaurant, perfect, and I have shot this photo, this canal is UNESCO world heritage.
Dug during the XVII century under LOUIS XIV King per Pierre-Paul Riquet.
This canal connects Méditéranee to Atlantic Ocean.
The next few days I will try to take pictures to explain how the water arrive at the top of the canal...
