The hideous lamp!

Sadly, my father passed away suddenly a couple of weeks ago and my sister and I are in the process of sorting through his personal effects and clearing out his house.

I've decided to keep this lamp which, although I've lovingly called hideous, has had pride of place in every house that Dad has called 'home'.

It took my wonderful husband a few hours to re-wire, clean and repair the lamp to get it to this state of repair and now I've the task of trying to find a new shade as the old one is beyond repair. Any suggestions on style and colour would be greatly appreciated.
