Come fly with me

I know some blippers will find this a boring shot, but i like it. Mixed two of my passions tonight and took a shot of my favourite fly, as it had rained all day today and yet again there was no chance of getting a shot outdoors.

With the weather warming up I'm beginning to think about sorting out my gear in preparation for opening day; so when i had to come up with a filler shot i knew exactly which cupboard in the garage was going to get raided for props.

I've caught thousands of trout with this type of fly since i first started fly fishing when i was 14. Hopefully this year is no exception.

With the new job I'm hoping ill get back to getting out at least 2 nights each week; one night with Pesky Princess, one night with #1 son, and if i can wangle a third night then ill get out with one of my friends. I seem to have a long list of people wanting to go fishing this year. After last years disastrous season of only 4 nights out, I'm going to really try this year.

Especially looking forward to nights out on Monikie when the sun sets, although I definitely need a bigger bag so I can take both the camera and the fishing gear with me this year!
