Brug de Twist

This bright red bridge of twisted steel is a sight to behold, looks different from every angle and is definitely the funkiest thing about Vlaardingen. It's a pedestrian and cycle bridge named 'De Twist', less than two years old, quite a stunning piece of architecture. Situated to the North of the city, crossing the Vlaardingse Vaart.

I walked for several miles today until I couldn't walk anymore, from the Southern part of Vlaardingen, all along the river, through rural areas, right up towards Midden-Delfland. A long bloody way! Over 4 hours in total and thoroughly enjoyed every second, absolutely glorious weather today too.
