Spell
The pictures that nearly made it today were all unsuitable. My girls had left a pile of Barbies in the bath, well, mainly Barbies, there was one grinning Ken in there too. None of them had clothes and the pile of plastic bodies looked like good blipping potential. But the results were a bit on the suggestive side, the random postioning of limbs, bodies and faces were bordering on the pornographic in places. Not for public consumption. So, I tidied them up and positioned them on the bath side in a responsible fashion so their hair could dry, today's blip is the result of that self-censoring repositioning.
Slow day in with the girls today, pouring rain all day meant any activities seemed like far too much effort. It meant going outside for a start. And they were playing so well together...for the most part. And my eldest (7) came up with a highly imaginitive potion/spell combo that she diligently wrote out in her notebook.
Two feathers from the bird of paradise
A baby shark's first tooth to fall out
Hawaii's first coconut to fall down from the trees
The first flower of spring
The first pile of dirt from a rabbit making a burrow
The first picture of a camera
The last stick of lipstick from a shop
A man's first oven (ask him first though, it does not matter if broken)
All foods which go mouldy
"Round the bowl we step, saying the spooky strange mysterious words which go like this. Bubbling, sizzling in the pan which will get a terrific tan. If we do this in rhyme we might go back in time. People watching ancient films, the ones with no sound, black and white picture. To maybe see Howard Carter bringing out the treasure. But only if we get this right you know. And don't drop this on your toe."
I was pretty impressed.
Bit of music to end. I mentioned this band to someone earlier today. Right up my street, very dreamy and somewhat woozy.
