Wall lichen on aspen

This is one of the most conspicuous lichens, Xanthoria parietina, or Wall lichen. Found this on aspen on my lunch walk today. You can also see Lecanora populicola on the same pic. Wall lichen is also commonly found on limestone walls and rocky sea shores.

Today was grey with some very tiny spells of blue skies. Tomorrow the weather forecast promises a bit of sun.../Z
