This is the group of Second Year students from Social Care in DIT, Mountjoy Square, we met with today.
We introduced ourselves and our work in Malawi. We were introducing the possibility of a number of them doing their third year course placement, working with our people in Mzuzu.

This work would be an integral part of the course and supervised (in Malawi) by Mary who for years, did similar work with fourth year B.Ed students in TCD (Trinity College Dublin). This in itself is a very exciting possibility but more amazing is the calibre of students we met, their enthusiasm, interest , vitality and questions.

The huge interest suggests that it will happen, and if it does, it will be a spectacular success, not only for the students, but moreso for the people they will journey with, in our preschools, in our villages, with our workers and their families, and also with Ungweru and St John of God Services. A genuine win-win project.
