Chanteclaire

My husband's family comes from the Bahamas. On Harbor Island there is a wrought iron gate leading to Chanteclaire Hill, the area where the clan used to live. The symbol of the rooster is their family icon. We have a lot of them around our house, as does Grandma.

I love this weathervane down the street from our house. Roosters are fairly common for weathervanes, but this fellow seems to be especially full of je ne sais quoi!
