Two tonnes of cabling

Sussex has created a major new data centre. The purple cables snaking overhead from 25 different arrays and weighing two tonnes arrive like neatly folded skeins of wool into the back of the router that then links the data off campus.

Combination of the synthetic material and their organic form, and their vibrant colour amid the cold black stacks was appealing.
