Curve-billed Thrasher

This thrasher has an over-grown bill, which is three times larger than normal. The bill is normally around 1 inch long, this one being almost 4 inches. He seems to enjoy being different and is not treated any different than the rest of my wildlife. It is fun to watch him forage for seeds and drink from the bird baths,
Here, in the Sonoran Desert, many birds find shelter from the north during our winters. Today, a warm 65 degrees.
